Second Death, Known As Hell.

Second Death, Known As Hell.

SECOND DEATH, KNOWN AS HELL:

Some people think of hell as too harsh of a punishment, and the judge (God) might be considered harsh as well, but God promises a life to those who believe in Jesus for salvation where there will be no sin and no tears. God will once and for all destroy all sin and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire, where he will be punished forever. God promises to get rid of sin in its totality. Matthew 25:41 says that hell was created for Satan and his angels. Satan's angels can also be referred to as his followers or his servants, those who are willing to do the works of the devil. Those who serve Satan, whether angels or humans, will eventually end up where he will end up, which is hell. The Bible calls Satan, “the father of lies” (John 8:44). The latter part of this verse says that “when Satan lies, he speaks out of his own character.” The term “white lie” is just an additional form of deception from Satan. The concept behind the use of this term is that the lie being told is harmless, but in reality it is not, because it brings charge against the one who puts it into practice. That person has violated one of God's laws and has God's wrath remaining with him (John 3:36).

God is a righteous, just, and holy God and, therefore, He must punish sin, which means death to those who commit sin. Romans 6:23 states that "the wages of sin is death…” It is then safe to say that whoever participates in works contrary to God's will and commandmentswithout repentance and faith in Christ as Lord and Savior are participants of the works of the enemy, Satan. Whether they realize it or not, they become servants in the kingdom of darkness and will go where the god of the kingdom of darkness will one day end up. This place is hell, also described in the Bible as the “second death,” and is where servants in the kingdom of darkness will go unless they repent and believe in Jesus as Lord for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus says in Matthew 12:30, “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” Jesus is saying that there is no middle ground, no neutral response to Him or His work, and no room for neutrality. Another lie many believe is that they can sit on the fence and be okay. No choice, in reality, is a rejection of Jesus and His Good News.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

This brings us to the good news. 1 Timothy 2:4 says, “God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth.” This is God's heart. We see it also in Ezekiel 18:23: “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?” This is why God provided a Savior, Jesus Christ, who took the wrath of God that all sinners deserve (2 Corinthians 5:21). “For our sake he made him who knew no sin to be sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” This sacrifice makes God to be just and the justifier of the one who puts his faith in Jesus (Romans 3:26). Christ paid the penalty of sinHe died. But after three days He rose again, defeating death. Now Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25).
