Religion or Relationship

I’m talking ”religious”. Why do we see some much of God’s power in some peoples lives and others aren’t really making an impact for the Kingdom of God?
Sometimes we get so wrapped up with what we feel like we are supposed to do or how we are supposed to act. We follow the church rules. Do this but don’t do this and pass judgement on each other for whatever decision is made.
This is a heart issue. When we only let God in parts of our lives, that’s religion. Sometimes we even think, I don’t want to bother God or I’ve got this. Even then, ask yourself, “Have I given my whole heart to Jesus?”
When we are not 100% in sync with God, when we do not include Him, we limit what God is able to do. This is religion.
God wants us to come boldly to His throne with His Word. His Word does not return to Him void. When you go to the Creator with His Word, it pleases Him. We were created to bring pleasure to God. What do you think happens when we do this?
RELATIONSHIP! God pours out His covenant promises! You just became intimate with your Creator and you blessed Him.
See how being religious limits God and relationship is an open door to commune with your Father!
See how the focus goes from what we can do without God (which results in failure) and God pouring out His love on us.
Next time you see someone very blessed by the Lord, ask God how? How did they get where they are? God will show you how His Word is applicable in your life as well.
Again, God is answering prayers and pouring His love into us.
That is relationship!
